Every third weekend of October for 31 years, Hill Country and desert musicians have met in the Terlingua Ghostown for the Music Bash. There's no cover at any show. Sets run across Starlight Theatre, La Kiva, the Boathouse, DB's Rustic Iron BBQ and Temple of the Bird. When the clubs close, the song circles keep going.
Highlights
Thursday: Open mic at Whitmore's (5–8 PM), then the Shrine Dedication Party at La Kiva (8:30 PM)
Friday & Saturday: Sets from late afternoon to 11 PM at all four clubs
Saturday: A "Day of the Dead" costume parade at the Ghostown Cemetery (3 PM), costume judging at DB's (4 PM) and a silent auction at the Boathouse
Sunday: Gospel brunch and open jam at DB's (9 AM), then an afternoon lineup at Temple of the Bird from noon
Donations go to the Mark "Eyeball" Kneeskern Scholarship for Terlingua High School art students. The schedule may change, so check cabin10.org for updates.
